Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform mechanical system/sub-system design and modifications for UPS products and switchgears to meet fit, form, and function requirements.
  • •Develop enclosures, frames, chassis, and sheet metal brackets; model electrical components support items (busbar and wire harness) as needed.
  • •Execute concept generation through prototyping, testing, drafting, CAD modeling, and PLM release for mechanical assemblies and parts.
  • •Work in Enovia PLM to manage proposed changes and ensure release through Change Order activities with quality of deliverables.
  • •Investigate reported concerns with stakeholders, drive cost-out/manufacturability improvements, and apply root-cause analysis using Lean Six Sigma/ DMAIC approaches to improve delivery and first-pass yield.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • •3–5 years of experience in product design.
  • •Expertise in sheet metal design and drafting.
  • •Proficiency with Creo/SolidWorks and AutoCAD CAD tools.
  • •Hands-on experience with PLM processes (Enovia) and DFMA/manufacturing knowledge.
