Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop OE systems in advanced Si photonics process technologies for DWDM and CWDM applications in next-generation AI and HPC.
  • •Innovate and specify PIC architectures, TX chains, RX chains, components, and test methodologies to meet optical IO requirements.
  • •Work with systems teams to devise, maintain, simulate, and optimize optical IO link budgets and component limits using product and foundry capabilities.
  • •Collaborate on design-for-test best practices to ensure photonic devices are ready for high-volume manufacturing.
  • •Participate in design reviews and partner cross-functionally with EIC, packaging, foundry technology, test development, and product teams to architect design and test automation solutions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 175,000 - 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Significant success driving photonic PDK, device, and circuit design for PIC development.
  • •Subject matter expertise in PIC theory with end-to-end work across design, layout, simulation, packaging, debug, test, manufacturing, reliability, qualification, and support.
  • •Experience developing PICs that reached HVM, from concept through field failure analysis.
  • •Expertise in silicon photonics foundry technology, device design, and circuit layout.
  • •Proficiency in software architecture and development for photonic design automation and test automation (Python and Cadence preferred).
