Job Summary

Perform design verification and validation for Hardware Design Integrity by checking mechanical or electrical technical data packages (TDPs) for completeness, producibility, data integrity, and consistency. Verify that drawings and model-based representations are synchronized and authenticated, and ensure compliance with ASME Y14.41 and MIL-STD-31000. Work onsite in Tucson supporting the Design Integrity team within the Product Integrity center and apply CAD/data package tools for detailed checks.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform design verification and validation of Mechanical 2D Drawings and model-based Design TDPs, including documentation and electronic data files used for production/procurement.
•Confirm mechanical designs are checked for form, fit, and function to program requirements and conform to company/industry specifications and standards.
•Authenticate synchronization between drawings and the design database models they were derived from.
•Perform design verification and validation of Electrical 2D TDPs, including circuit card assembly, printed wiring boards, schematics, eBOMs, and CAD-developed design models.
•Ensure verification/validation is compliant with ASME Y14.41 and MIL-STD-31000, supporting data/model synchronization and, with training, potentially checking opposing design TDPs.

Key Requirements

•Requires a Bachelor’s of Science/Technology/Engineering/Math (STEM) with 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years, or 9 years without a degree.
•Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.
•5 years of experience designing, drafting, and/or verifying/validating detailed Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
•Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) design/drafting.
•Experience in one area: Mechanical Design Checker (e.g., PTC Creo Suite/Creo/ProE/SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Raster/Canvas/GTXImage/Myriad) or Electrical Design Checker (e.g., Mentor Boardstation/EXPEDITION-DxDESIGNER or related).
