Job Summary

Operate the vessel’s DP system according to operational requirements, maintaining an on-duty DP control-room scheme and ensuring DP system data is continuously recorded. Assist with setup of DP operating parameters, support maintenance of DP equipment, and perform frequent inspections of DP sensors, computers, and reference units. Implement IMCA DP requirements, assist with nautical chart updates, and report any DP system malfunctions to the SDPO.

•Operate the DP system as per operation requirements and maintain the continual on-duty scheme in the DP control room.
•Ensure DP system data are recorded.
•Assist in setting up DP system operating parameters and performing maintenance on DP equipment.
•Assist in conducting frequent inspections of DP sensors, computers, and references.
•Implement IMCA DP requirements and report DP system malfunctions to the SDPO.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or equivalent nautical science degree/diploma.
•Chief Mate FG COC II/2 with no limitations.
•Full and unlimited DP certificates from the Nautical Institute.
•IMCA DP log book with recorded DP experience and at least 1 year as a DPO/2nd officer on DP vessels in the same capacity.
•Good English communication skills and knowledge of safe practices for DP operations.
