Job Summary

Verify production processes, packaging, food safety, and operational sanitation on the 2nd shift. Manage proper documentation and inventory control, including release of hold product, and monitor lines and paperwork for specification compliance. Enforce GMPs by checking labels, lot codes, packaging, and pallets, while coordinating with Shipping/Receiving when materials don’t meet specs. Assist with microbiological swabs, day-to-day quality issues, and adherence to safety and animal welfare guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

•Verify production processes, packaging, food safety, and operational sanitation, including proper documentation and inventory control.
•Monitor production lines and paperwork throughout the day to ensure specification compliance for each product.
•Verify labels, lot codes, packaging, and pallet stacking are correctly adhered, printed, sealed, and stacked.
•Verify receiving of incoming raw materials and ingredients, and notify appropriate leaders if items do not meet specifications.
•Perform microbiological swabs and samplings and help ensure quality and food safety policies and procedures are followed.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent).
•Minimum 1 year experience in quality assurance or 6 months as a Wayne Farms employee.
•Intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and computer skills.
•Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
•Ability to follow safety requirements and work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
