Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM/DFA) initiatives to optimize electric powertrain system (EPS) manufacturability with cross-functional partners.
  • •Own NPI and prototype execution by building initial prototype build plans, running process trials, developing custom tooling, and driving equipment qualification and production ramp-up.
  • •Define automation equipment, tool, and custom fixture specifications, managing vendor development through Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT).
  • •Develop line design and build plans, including plant line layouts, part flow optimization, manufacturing methods, and accurate Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOM).
  • •Establish quality and process control via PFMEAs, validation/calibration protocols, standardized work, and pilot-line improvements using OEE metrics and RCA.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering with 3–6+ years of hands-on experience (EV, Automotive, or Aerospace preferred).
  • •Direct experience building and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic assemblies with advanced automated manufacturing equipment.
  • •Expertise in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and drawing reviews.
  • •Proven experience scaling production lines from prototype builds to high-volume mass production.
  • •Proficiency with structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, 8D, 5-Why) and communication skills for fast-paced, regulated environments.
