Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in the delivery of detailed inspection and investigation of engineered structures across the UK, including planning, organising, executing and reporting site works
  • •Prepare desk studies, briefs and CAD sketches for proposals and reports, and assist with method statements and risk assessments
  • •Conduct structure inspections and investigations, potentially supervising sub-contractors and third parties
  • •Coordinate laboratory testing of materials and prepare/calibrate CAD sketches for factual and interpretive reports
  • •Develop structure management studies and prioritise structures for future works, while mentoring and coordinating tasks within the delivery team

Key Requirements

  • •MEng or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • •Graduate membership with the Institution of Civil Engineers, British Institute of Non Destructive Testing or Institution of Structural Engineers, and working towards Incorporated or Chartered status
  • •Knowledge or experience of condition assessment testing and monitoring of structures would be advantageous
  • •Knowledge of software and standards used in management of bridge assets; proficiency in producing drawings and reports (AutoCAD advantageous)
  • •IT literacy; Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
