Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide onsite Smart Hands support for physical datacenter and site infrastructure activities.
  • •Perform rack and stack and carry out cabling tasks (patching, labeling, verification, tracing) and rack component installation.
  • •Assist with hardware replacement and diagnostics (e.g., FRUs, SFP/optics, memory/storage/power components) under NOC guidance.
  • •Coordinate with incumbent teams to gather and validate site/datacenter information for inventory, readiness, and transition repositories.
  • •Maintain accurate records and support IMACD/break-fix and incident/service request activities while following safety/security/change procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on experience in physical datacenter/site support or Smart Hands operations (rack-and-stack, cabling and patching, hardware handling).
  • •Experience working in datacenter environments/enterprise sites, including server rooms and remote site locations.
  • •Ability to gather, validate, and document infrastructure details from incumbent teams for transitions/takeovers.
  • •Knowledge of hardware labeling, rack/elevation documentation, and physical asset management.
  • •Basic understanding of network devices, servers, storage systems, and UPS/power layouts, plus datacenter access, safety, security, and change procedures.
