Key Responsibilities

  • •Own performance of GitLab’s social function and its contribution to marketing and business goals.
  • •Lead global organic social strategy, channel plans, and editorial priorities while maintaining a consistent GitLab voice.
  • •Own YouTube strategy end to end, including channel architecture, programming, series development, video packaging, optimization, and growth.
  • •Partner with Growth Marketing on paid social, aligning organic and paid messaging and connecting paid performance back to organic strategy.
  • •Lead measurement (KPIs, dashboards, reporting cadence) and drive community engagement, creator/influencer and employee advocacy programs.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years in social media, including at least 5 years leading social strategy for a global brand at senior manager level or above.
  • •Experience owning social end to end—strategy, budget, headcount, tooling, and results—as the accountable leader.
  • •Proven ability to lead teams, agencies, and cross-functional programs with clear ownership and accountability for outcomes.
  • •Strong YouTube strategy expertise, including programming, formats, packaging decisions, and the metrics that drive channel growth.
