Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, implement, and manage APS occupational safety standards, including rollout of revisions after reviews.
  • •Define and coordinate annual APS HSE objectives with a continuous improvement focus across occupational safety, health, and the environment.
  • •Develop and implement value-adding processes to use global applications such as Intelex and Barrier Failure Analysis.
  • •Lead periodic regional HSE Manager meetings to share and implement best practices and learning.
  • •Manage the new APS site leader “90 day” HSE assessment process and participate in periodic site appraisals, including internal self-assessments and OE audits to identify risks and opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • •Manage HSE on a manufacturing site in the (petro) chemical industry.
  • •10–15 years of experience coordinating/managing HSE in the (petro) chemical industry, with some batch process unit experience preferred.
  • •Substantial knowledge of HSE processes and management (preferably from within LyondellBasell).
  • •Proficiency in incident investigation and auditing processes.
  • •Occupational health and safety, engineering, or science-based degree (additional professional safety certification preferred).
