Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute live streaming operations for company-wide events, including monitoring broadcast systems (encoders, streaming servers, CDN distribution, player deployment) and managing multi-channel/multi-room streams.
  • •Lead pre-production planning by designing streaming architecture, configuring/testing encoders and failover processes, coordinating network/firewall/bandwidth needs, and creating run-of-show and contingency plans.
  • •Manage and optimize the Primary Streaming platform (channel configuration, server health, performance tuning) and troubleshoot issues like buffering, caption failures, player errors, and encoding problems.
  • •Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for critical streaming events: lead incident response, document and track issues, coordinate vendor escalations, and complete RCA and preventative measures.
  • •Build continuous improvements through SOPs/runbooks, automation tools/scripts, SLO/SLI tracking, testing frameworks for pre-event validation, and failure-mode analysis with redundancy.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years in live event production, broadcast engineering, streaming operations, or related technical production roles, including technical directing/producing/A1 experience.
  • •Hands-on experience with professional streaming platforms and executing high-stakes live events with large audiences.
  • •Strong real-time troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues during live productions, including root cause analysis.
  • •Deep understanding of video streaming protocols (RTMP, NDI, SRT) and video codecs (H.264, H.265).
  • •Proficiency with CDN concepts, network troubleshooting, bandwidth optimization, and monitoring/observability tools; basic scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
