Monitor and support U.S. Bank’s 24x7x365 immediate payments environment for RTP and FedNow, focusing on weekends and non-standard hours. You’ll verify processing via systems, queues, alerts, dashboards, and exception monitoring; investigate payment delays or failures; perform reconciliation and settlement verification; and escalate issues across technology, operations, risk, compliance, vendors, and networks. Maintain audit-ready documentation and help identify recurring gaps to improve reliability and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor Immediate Payments systems, queues, alerts, dashboards, and transaction activity to confirm expected processing and detect issues.
•Run scheduled system checks (transaction status reviews, exception monitoring, network validation, and operational readiness checks).
•Investigate and triage operational exceptions, payment delays/failures, and system alerts.
•Escalate issues to the appropriate stakeholders (technology, operations, product, risk, compliance, vendors, and networks) per procedures.
•Perform reconciliation and balancing (general ledger review, offset validation, settlement verification) and document incidents and resolutions for audit/compliance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
•Five to eight years of experience in payment operations, financial services, or a related business function.
•Strong knowledge of payment processing, reconciliation, exception handling, and operational controls.
•Familiarity with Immediate Payments frameworks, including RTP and FedNow environments.
•Ability to work independently during weekends, holidays, and non-standard hours.
