Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the design of HV connectors, routing and optimization of HV harnesses, and related components from concept through production.
  • •Manage end-to-end design engineering activities, balancing electrical performance, mechanical robustness, manufacturability, cost, serviceability, and customer experience.
  • •Lead supplier technical reviews, DFMEA reviews, tooling reviews, validation alignment, and production launch activities.
  • •Design, build, and test prototypes, including environmental, vibration, thermal shock, temperature cycling, ingress protection, durability, and mechanical qualification testing.
  • •Continuously optimize designs for cost and performance; collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers through reviews and engineering decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •3-6 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience (or strong technical proficiency at other levels).
  • •Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and ability to solve complex problems.
  • •Experience designing and packaging vehicle wiring harnesses, considering routing, retention, serviceability, EMC, thermal environments, crash requirements, and manufacturing constraints.
  • •Proficiency in 3D CAD tools, including CATIA or similar software.
  • •Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA), including components/processes like injection molded plastics, sheet metal, die castings, busbars, and adhesives.
