Job Summary

Design and architect mixed-signal validation test systems, driving the technical vision for the semiconductor validation space. Leverage deep knowledge of NI modular instruments (PXI/PXIe) and T&M toolchains to build scalable, maintainable automated test architectures. Partner across engineering, business, and R&D to make technical trade-offs, lead customer technical discussions, assess feasibility, and validate DUT communication and digital protocols.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive the technical vision for semiconductor validation mixed-signal systems and define architectural requirements for products and systems.
•Use deep knowledge of NI modular instruments and PXI/PXIe hardware to influence roadmap decisions and lab validation system design.
•Build scalable automated test system architectures using T&M tools and NI drivers (LabVIEW, Python, C#, Instrument Studio, TestStand, DC-Power, NI-Digital, NI-Scope).
•Advise business and R&D on technical trade-off decisions and assess feasibility to ensure practicality of strategies.
•Lead customer discussions on future system needs and perform DUT communication and protocol validation.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
•12+ years of experience developing, automating, or architecting test systems in a verification or validation laboratory.
•Strong documentation, communication, and problem solving skills.
•Expert in NI Mixed Signal products and the capabilities of combining products into a system.
•Familiarity with digital standards and their test specifications (e.g., MIPI, I2C, SWI3S).
