Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement high-availability backend services in Go and Java to collect, process, and expose real-time search metrics.
  • •Build and maintain Google Cloud data pipelines (Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Bigtable, BigQuery) to turn search events into actionable signals.
  • •Develop internal tools for other teams to analyze, compare, and experiment with search behavior to reduce diagnostic time during critical incidents.
  • •Collaborate on the observability architecture for the Search ecosystem.
  • •Integrate GenAI tools into development and monitoring workflows, and contribute to React/Nordic frontends for visual, interactive exploration of search metrics.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience building backend systems in Go and/or Java in high-traffic production environments.
  • •Experience with Google Cloud Platform including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow and/or Bigtable.
  • •Ability to build and operate batch and/or streaming data pipelines.
  • •Knowledge of distributed observability in production, including metrics, traces, and structured logs (e.g., OpenTelemetry).
