Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure DCSA facilities achieve and maintain applicable Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) standards, including annual RAC code-based facility safety assessments.
  • •Investigate, report, and mitigate mishaps and hazards, tracking findings through closure with timely follow-up actions.
  • •Implement proactive risk reduction programs, including ergonomic assessments and job hazard analyses for stressors and illness hazards.
  • •Serve as expert SOH authority by providing training, consultation, and technical guidance; conduct at least one safety training session per quarter via MS Teams using the DCSA Safety module.
  • •Oversee safety during facility renovations and MILCON project meetings, and develop/maintain a Quality Control Plan (QCP) with inspection, corrective/preventive actions, and performance alignment.

Key Requirements

  • •7-10 years of direct, hands-on experience in environmental health and safety or a related field with risk management and health/safety management certification.
  • •Current SECRET security clearance.
  • •US Citizen and current, valid Driver's License.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related safety field.
  • •Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification (or equivalent).
