Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the slitting machine to meet customer quality specifications for roll dimensions, sizes, quantity, and print quality.
  • •Set up the machine for each job by reviewing job folders/computer data, using blueprints and slitting checklists, and adjusting guides/knives/gauges and cores/spacers.
  • •Perform rework/rewinding of rolls with identified defects from primary operations and handle rolls/sets during the run.
  • •Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment, including visually inspecting food contact paths during preventative maintenance.
  • •Monitor running jobs for wrinkles, voids, print quality issues, and fisheyes; obtain and deliver lab samples and assist with labelling/bagging as time permits.
