Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate technical requirements of new and existing products and recommend qualified materials to Design Engineering to improve savings, lead time, system performance, life, and risk.
  • •Work with New Product Development teams to ensure engineering drawing requirements are accurate, complete, and effectively communicated to suppliers.
  • •Support New Product Introduction teams to involve suppliers in specification development and review to promote design for manufacturability.
  • •Lead supplier technical audit processes, evaluate supplier performance and capability, and drive continuous improvement opportunities; train other supplier engineers.
  • •Lead quality problem resolutions and incident management, drive root cause and corrective action, and assist in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers and supply markets.
