Key Responsibilities

  • •Review design-stage risk management information and challenge it to ensure safety in design
  • •Collaborate with designers to develop creative and effective hazard-mitigation strategies
  • •Gather information to inform risk profiles and compliance plans (PCI, HSF or BSA)
  • •Share industry best practices and contribute to internal knowledge development
  • •Advise clients and stakeholders on their legal responsibilities under CDM and Building Safety Act

Key Requirements

  • •Strong working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
  • •Experience with the Principal Designer role in the Building Safety Act 2022
  • •Design and compliance experience within transportation, infrastructure, energy/utilities, mechanical and engineering, structures or related design-led environments
  • •A degree (or equivalent) in safety, engineering, construction, transportation or a related field (or equivalent technical qualification)
  • •Commitment to continued professional development, ideally NEBOSH Construction certification and membership of APS, IIRSM and/or IOSH
