Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to electrical engineering design consultancy for transmission & distribution projects from initial concept through to detail design and delivery
  • •Engage with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and subcontractors to discuss technical issues and capture feedback
  • •Apply BS and Eurocodes standards to engineering design work and ensure compliance
  • •Collaborate on grid modernisation initiatives, including HV power systems analysis, cabling, substations, system balancing and protection concepts
  • •Support delivery of UK grid projects such as Great Grid Programme and offshore/long-distance interconnections

Key Requirements

  • •An electrical/electronic/power engineering qualification (HNC/HND/BSc/BEng and/or MSc/MEng)
  • •Demonstrable electrical engineering design consultancy experience on transmission and distribution projects
  • •Working knowledge of BS and/or Eurocodes for relevant engineering design standards
  • •Strong verbal and written communication skills with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and subcontractors
