Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws, obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals; assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when warranted.
  • •Maintain signed invoices and shipping paperwork (including bills of lading) and deliver documentation to the appropriate staff when routes are complete.
  • •Facilitate routine service on trucks (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, and air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the weight of the vehicle operated.

  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Be able to follow safety and documentation requirements, including maintaining signed invoices and shipping paperwork.
