Job Summary

Join the Mine Waste civil/geotechnical team in Lakewood, CO (and nearby locations) working on mining, heavy civil and geotechnical projects. Conduct geotechnical investigations, site characterization, and facility design (including TSF, heap leach pads, Waste Rock facilities); prepare technical reports and design packages; travel domestically and internationally as needed; collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain safety and ethics standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Work within the mine waste team on civil and geotechnical projects for the mining industry, including Tailings Storage Facilities, Heap Leach Pads, and Waste Rock facilities.
•Prepare technical reports documenting field and laboratory investigations, engineering analyses, and facility designs.
•Assist with project design packages including technical drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
•Conduct geotechnical field investigations and construction monitoring; perform site and material characterization; evaluate slope stability, seepage, consolidation, liner systems and settlement.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute project work while adhering to safety guidelines and company policies.

Key Requirements

•A bachelore28099s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or an equivalent field of study; 1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience; Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or plan to complete within 6 months of start date.
