Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Chief Engineer and senior engineering officers in safe and efficient operation of all onboard machinery and equipment.
  • •Carry out engine-room watchkeeping duties and continuously monitor engines, generators, pumps, and auxiliary machinery.
  • •Operate, maintain, and support dredging machinery systems (including dredge pump, cutter drive, cutter ladder, spud system, and hydraulic equipment).
  • •Perform regular machinery rounds, record operating parameters and abnormalities, and promptly report defects, alarms, leaks, and abnormal conditions.
  • •Carry out routine preventive/corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs; support emergency drills and compliance with ISM/SOLAS/MARPOL and company requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in marine/mechanical engineering.
  • •5 years' experience on marine vessels, preferably on dredgers.
  • •Experience conducting watchkeeping duties in an engine room and monitoring main engines and auxiliary machinery.
  • •Ability to operate and maintain dredging machinery, including dredge pump and related hydraulic equipment.
  • •Knowledge of engineering safety requirements applicable to vessel operations (e.g., ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL).
