Lead and grow a planning consents service within AECOM’s Town Planning team, partnering with leadership to deliver high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities

•Manage and grow the planning consents service, including line management and mentorship of junior team members.
•Lead major development applications, including the Development Consent Order (DCO) process, and provide strategic planning advice to clients and internal teams.
•Ensure projects are delivered successfully on budget and within programme timelines.
•Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams for seamless project execution.
•Oversee deliverables for quality assurance and uphold health and safety principles, while contributing to business development and tender preparation.

Key Requirements

•Significant relevant experience leading planning consent applications for large infrastructure projects across a range of consenting regimes.
•Experience with the DCO (Development Consent Order) process and planning consents leadership.
•Expert witness experience would be advantageous.
•Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal and collaborative working skills, including existing relationships with clients and local authorities.
•A degree in Town Planning (or related discipline) and membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or an equivalent professional body.
