Key Responsibilities

  • •Design support across all phases of the design cycle, preliminary through detailed design, validation, manufacturing, and operational service and will work on the designs of any component within the fan module (i.e. cases, frames, IBR’s, bypass ducts, kinematics, etc…)
  • •Support the existing installed F135 fleet through enhanced commonality and optimization of components to ensure that the current and future needs of the business and customer are met.
  • •Expand repairability/maintainability for our military customer and MRO facilities as well as work with quality clinic and related departments to support the test and verification of field issues
  • •Design and implements common procedures and standard work across the organization to optimize efficiency and quality. Also develop data and makes layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal.
  • •Design and review layouts of components, calculate stack-up of detail components, and perform major cost studies consisting of new or existing details and/or marked prints and all supporting documentation, when necessary, to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives and budgets are achieved.

Key Requirements

  • •B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering with 8+ years of Mechanical Design engineering experience OR Advanced degree with 5+ years of experience
  • •Experience with hardware, reading blueprints, and manufacturing methods
  • •Experience with engineering standard work and with Class I and/or II EC process
  • •The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • •U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
