Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely along required routes while following traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas; follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading using specialized equipment; return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices and shipping bills of lading) and perform routine service checks, reporting maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license, depending on state, appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing per federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional, courteous communication with customers and staff at delivery points.
