Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish repair design requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet OEM quality requirements.
  • •Research how damage affects gas turbine engine components and develop engineering-based solutions to return parts to airworthiness.
  • •Create technical documents detailing engineering requirements for repairs for the manufacturing organization.
  • •Interface with commercial engine program managers to align priorities and understand how repairs affect the engine fleet.
  • •Lead repair development projects and provide mentorship/review for lower-level design engineers

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)
  • •8+ years of mechanical design or manufacturing engineering experience (or 5+ years with an Advanced degree)
  • •Experience in the use of Unigraphics/NX or similar CAD application
  • •10% Travel
  • •U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
