Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions and ensure road-tested vehicles are working properly.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and other repair documentation on Repair Orders (RO) and document work performed, parts used, and findings; communicate with management as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or 5 years’ experience as an alternative).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until expiration (or complete DOT physical if four (4) months or less).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license; be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.
