Job Summary

Maintain and repair diesel- and gasoline-powered trucks, trailers, and shop equipment to keep Pilgrim’s fleet safe, reliable, and compliant. Perform inspections, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and major repairs across powertrain, brakes, steering, electrical, fuel, emissions, and HVAC systems. Coordinate with drivers and supervisors to reduce downtime, keep accurate maintenance records, support parts inventory, and maintain a clean, safe shop environment.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Perform inspections, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on diesel- and gasoline-powered trucks, trailers, and equipment.
•Identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components by conducting inspections and diagnostic testing.
•Complete preventive maintenance schedules, including lubrication, component upgrades, corrosion control, and seasonal procedures.
•Repair, overhaul, replace, and adjust major systems and components including powertrain, drivetrain, electrical, fuel, emissions, brakes, steering, hydraulic, and air conditioning systems.
•Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company vehicle safety and emissions requirements while maintaining accurate maintenance records and shop cleanliness.
