Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage a team of data engineers, including performance facilitation, 1-on-1s, feedback, mentoring, recruiting, and leveling up capabilities.
  • •Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of high-performance, scalable, and cost-efficient data infrastructure (data stores, compute engines, orchestration systems).
  • •Ensure data systems are resilient, observable, and governed by implementing recovery strategies, proactive monitoring, and security/integrity/compliance best practices.
  • •Partner across engineering, analytics, and go-to-market teams to deliver high-quality product data and build tools, automation, and solutions that accelerate workflows for small business customers.
  • •Collaborate with technical leads and program management to shape technical decisions, deliver quarterly roadmaps, and drive data strategy innovation using AI tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience managing engineering teams, ideally in data engineering, delivering high-quality software and data solutions.
  • •Strong technical foundation across distributed data systems, orchestration frameworks, cloud infrastructure, performance tuning, scaling, and cost optimization.
  • •Hands-on experience with systems design, SQL, modern data tools, and data best practices including modeling, governance, and quality management.
  • •Experience implementing observability frameworks, SLAs, and disaster recovery to ensure resilient, reliable, and compliant data systems.
  • •Ability to lead in an agile environment with excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and mentorship skills.
