Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership, governance, and independent assurance to ensure delivery meets statutory, contractual, MOD, and industry requirements.
  • •Provide technical oversight of designs, specifications, and major works; review and challenge external design information and support acceptance into the Built Estate Central function.
  • •Lead and manage a team of Authorised Persons and support implementation of MOD safe systems of work in accordance with JSP 375 and HSE Approved Codes of Practice.
  • •Establish and maintain a compliance assurance framework, lead audits/inspections, implement corrective and preventative actions, and prepare for external audits.
  • •Own governance for safety alerts and technical/regulatory notices; assess emerging risks, respond to compliance incidents and investigations, and deliver clear monthly and quarterly compliance reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Lead technical compliance, assurance, or engineering governance in a complex operational environment.
  • •Have deep knowledge of statutory compliance for building engineering systems and infrastructure, and the ability to translate legislation and guidance into practical controls.
  • •Demonstrate strong communication skills to produce technical reports, analyze compliance performance and risk, and present to senior stakeholders and customers.
  • •Experience with compliance assurance (audits, inspections, governance frameworks) and managing compliance risks is highly advantageous.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance (SC) or higher and hold a full UK driving licence; travel across the contract is required.
