Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide personal financial counseling services to service members and their families at assigned military installations.
  • •Deliver briefings, presentations, classes, and workshops across the military lifecycle, including pre- and post-deployment topics.
  • •Assist service members with establishing spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials and referral resources.
  • •Coordinate with installation and military branch Points of Contact, participate in supervision/training, and manage duty to warn per DoD protocol.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider an associate degree plus 4 years' experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Must have one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
  • •Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass OCI disclosures for organizational conflicts of interest.
