Job Summary

Shape the vision and architecture of Dialpad’s next-generation agentic AI platform, moving beyond copilots toward autonomous workflow execution. You’ll own technical roadmaps for agentic infrastructure, multi-agent orchestration, memory, and evaluation/observability, and build scalable multi-modal agents for real-time voice reasoning and secure tool execution. Partner with Product, Applied Research, Design, and executive leadership while mentoring peers and pushing emerging frameworks and safety guardrails.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the architectural roadmap and delivery of Dialpad’s agentic infrastructure, orchestration layers, memory architectures, and evaluation/observability systems.
•Design and deploy scalable multi-modal AI agents for autonomous support, real-time voice reasoning, and secure API tool execution across enterprise workflows.
•Serve as a technical anchor by raising the engineering bar, mentoring senior peers, and defining technical standards for an AI-native SDLC.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Applied Research to align technical execution with long-term business strategy.
•Research and implement emerging agent frameworks, LLM inference optimization, advanced retrieval systems, and safety/policy guardrails for safe workflow execution.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 176,000 - 209,000 annually

Key Requirements

•10+ years of relevant software engineering experience with technical leadership (Staff/Senior Staff/Principal Engineer) shipping large-scale systems.
•Strong foundations scaling distributed systems and production-grade infrastructure before applying it to AI, LLM platforms, and agentic architectures.
•Ability to lead and grow a small group of engineers.
•Hands-on experience with LLM inference optimization and fine-tuning strategies.
•Experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph, CrewAI, or AWS/Google agent ecosystems, plus advanced retrieval and memory architectures.
