Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot instrument and control equipment to keep machinery operating efficiently and minimize production downtime. Diagnose breakdowns and failures, perform planned/preventive/predictive maintenance, and complete work according to safety procedures and maintenance plans. Achieve scheduled equipment calibrations, manage spare parts and maintenance records using SAP, and recommend modifications for recurring issues. Provide guidance to newly joined instrument mechanics and support shift-based breakdown response.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Attend to instrument and control equipment breakdowns and perform planned/preventive/predictive maintenance with minimal supervision, reducing production downtime.
•Assess job requirements and select the necessary tools and equipment to complete maintenance work.
•Diagnose instrument/control breakdowns and troubleshoot failures of plant and equipment with minimal direction.
•Complete maintenance work in line with safety procedures, maintenance plans, and plant operational requirements.
•Achieve scheduled equipment calibrations and use SAP to order spare parts and maintain maintenance records; monitor repeated breakdowns and recommend modifications.

Key Requirements

•Higher secondary or diploma.
•Familiar with maintenance tools and strong knowledge of plant safety.
•Experience from a power or desalination plant, including maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, flow).
•Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic valve actuation systems and related instrumentation (including CO2 fire protection and infrared gas detection systems).
•Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manuals, and knowledge of electrical, electronics, computer, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices.
