Job Summary

Support the Ride and/or Show teams for Universal United Kingdom Resort by providing technical engineering assistance for scenic scopes of work. Review vendor design deliverables, update scenic engineering specifications, and help manage vendors through design, manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning. Contribute to test protocol development and participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities while supporting acceptance testing of scenic systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide engineering technical support (calculation, design, drafting, research) to Ride/Show teams for scenic scopes of work.
•Review vendor design review documents (drawings, component selection, calculations, test plans/results, and other specified deliverables).
•Edit and update Ride/Show engineering specifications to support scenic system delivery.
•Assist in managing vendors across bidding, design, manufacturing, testing, shipping, installation, start-up, and commissioning of show action equipment.
•Review, edit, or develop test protocols/procedures/plans and execute witness/approve testing and test results as assigned by Engineering & Safety management.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in an applicable technical field (e.g., Technical Theatre, Architecture, Set/Scenic Design, Building Construction) or equivalent skill and experience.
•Experience in theme park-specific technical/engineering roles supporting scenic elements (e.g., rockwork, scenic facades, artificial foliage, themed concrete plaster) or similar related experience.
•Project experience in the entertainment/theme park industry is preferred.
•Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and work with abstract and concrete variables.
