Job Summary

Design, build, and scale secure backend applications and services for Mercado Ads. You’ll implement and support modern systems in Java (Spring Boot), integrate with REST APIs, and contribute to scalable architecture and code quality. Work with cross-functional teams across the Mercado Libre marketplace ecosystem, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and help drive improvements using shared libraries and engineering best practices.

•Create, maintain, and support modern applications and services using Java.
•Ensure effective integration with REST APIs while maintaining code quality and contributing to scalable architecture.
•Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and participate in product definition phases.
•Collaborate with cross and org teams to coordinate improvement and development needs and introduce innovations.
•Work collaboratively in a growing multidisciplinary team, supporting others and communicating clearly.

Key Requirements

•Solid backend development knowledge.
•Experience developing in Java (Spring Boot).
•Experience with distributed systems, REST APIs, and scalable solutions in cloud environments.
•Knowledge of application architecture, design patterns, and principles like CLEAN, SOLID, and DRY.
•Experience with relational and non-relational databases and monitoring/diagnostics metrics tools.
