Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead discovery conversations with Sales to uncover business and technical requirements and map them to Xometry solutions.
  • •Serve as the technical liaison between molding teams and the customer, consulting to identify the right application and build the business case.
  • •Demonstrate Xometry capabilities, including the software quoting platform, to engineers and executives; partner on product, sales, quoting, and engineering to feed customer insight back into the business.
  • •Provide internal expertise on injection molding processes, including tooling, mold design, and process capability, and help the team speak credibly to customers.
  • •Provide project management and oversight on complex opportunities and represent Xometry as an industry thought leader at events and in the injection molding community.

Key Requirements

  • •Genuine manufacturing/process background in injection molding (also compression molding, overmolding, insert molding) with hands-on floor-level experience preferred.
  • •Engineering degree (Mechanical or Plastics preferred) or related technical degree, with 5–7+ years in an engineering/manufacturing/technical field.
  • •Experience preparing and presenting technical solutions within business proposals.
  • •CAD and technical drawing experience, with demonstrated expertise in areas such as materials science, plastics engineering, GD&T, mold design, and ISO certifications plus PPAP/inspection.
  • •Strong project management and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple long-term projects with minimal oversight.
