Job Summary

Repair and maintain construction and mechanical equipment, including trucks, trailers, dozers, excavators, motor graders, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and more. Troubleshoot issues to make economical, durable repairs; dismantle devices to remove defective parts; and service vehicles with oil changes, greasing, fluids, filters, and preventative maintenance. Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems and engines, order parts, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot problems and make economical, durable repairs.
•Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
•Maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, shop equipment, and non-mobile equipment.
•Service vehicles/equipment (oil changes, greasing, fluids, filters) and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
•Order parts and supplies; maintain purchase orders and invoices; operate computer tools for job functions.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED.
•5+ years of experience as a skilled automotive mechanic, including mechanical maintenance on heavy-duty construction equipment such as Komatsu and CAT dozers, excavators, motor graders, and water trucks.
•Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Able to type and use keyboards accurately, with knowledge of database software.
