Key Responsibilities

  • •Automation Evolution: Proactively explore and implement AI tools, LLM integrations, and MCP to reduce routine database toil, optimize query performance, and accelerate incident resolution.
  • •Modern Data Stack: Support our data warehouse ecosystem by optimizing Snowflake performance, including application packaging and testing.
  • •Performance Engineering: Own deep-level optimization of MSSQL and PostgreSQL at the server, database, and query levels.
  • •Capacity Planning & Cost Optimization: Forecast resource utilization, identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize Snowflake credits, and right-size AWS infrastructure.
  • •Infrastructure as Code & Orchestration: Automate data infrastructure using Terraform, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes; manage containerized data services and stateful workloads.

  • •8+ years of experience maintaining and optimizing high-traffic production databases, specifically Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL
