Job Summary

Lead Weave’s performance engineering initiative by defining baselines and improving reliability for the Truelark platform. Build a self-service performance testing platform, establish KPIs/SLOs, and embed performance as a core lifecycle component across a distributed Go-based microservices architecture. You’ll shape an early-stage engineering function and scale it across hundreds of engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect and execute a performance strategy for Truelark scaling, defining KPIs/SLOs and running load, stress, spike, and endurance tests to ensure capacity and reliability
•Design and build a self-service performance testing platform deeply integrated into CI/CD pipelines to enable any developer to configure, run, and analyze tests with minimal friction
•Champion and codify performance best practices by producing reference implementations for Go-based microservices on Kubernetes and conducting workshops
•Perform deep-dive bottleneck analysis and system tuning using observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) to identify systemic performance issues
•Define and monitor SLOs for latency, throughput, and availability, ensuring tests validate service reliability under varying load and proactively detect regressions

Key Requirements

•Experience of 5+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Staff) in performance-focused roles (Performance Engineer, SRE, or similar)
•Proficiency in Go and/or Python with strong software development fundamentals
•Deep Kubernetes expertise for deploying and tuning containerized services
•CI/CD mastery with experience integrating automated testing (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar)
•Expert-level performance testing knowledge across load, stress, spike, endurance, and scalability testing
