Job Summary

Build and operate global infrastructure for TikTok’s Video on Demand and Live Streaming platform, supporting multimedia transport, storage, and processing at massive scale. Own production system management including monitoring, on-call response, capacity planning, and optimization. Develop automation, observability, and monitoring tools to improve reliability and processing speed across the full service lifecycle, from design and deployment through ongoing refinement.

Key Responsibilities

•Build global infrastructure for multi-media transport, storage, and processing for billions of users worldwide.
•Manage production systems with monitoring, on-call emergency response, and capacity planning/optimization.
•Develop automation, observability, and monitoring tools to support operation and optimization.
•Improve the service lifecycle from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
•Scale systems sustainably using automation and initiate changes to improve reliability and processing speed.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical background in software/system engineering, or equivalent experience.
•Good programming experience with at least one: C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.
•Knowledge of networking, operating systems, database systems, and container technology.
•Understanding of microservice architecture and troubleshooting in large-scale distributed systems.
•High oral and written proficiency in English and Mandarin for frequent cross-region communication.
