Job Summary

Account Executive role in Perth, WA, focused on expanding Databricks’ footprint with existing customers and driving consumption of the Databricks platform. You’ll manage a SaaS sales process from prospecting to closing, collaborate across cross-functional teams, and use strategic account planning to accelerate deals and grow the Territory in Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and manage accounts in the WA territory to convert prospects into customers and drive platform consumption.
•Identify, structure and close opportunities to secure strategic deals that accelerate and de-risk projects.
•Execute proactive prospecting and lead generation using intent signals, account planning, and customer stories to build a robust pipeline.
•Collaborate with BDRs, Marketing, and cross-functional teams to engage key prospects and displace incumbent technologies.
•Maintain an accurate Salesforce pipeline, deliver POCs, and guide the sales cycle from initial contact to closing the deal.

Key Requirements

•Proven track record in sales with a history of selling innovation, ideally in Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS technology in a consumption-first world
•Strong prospecting, lead generation, and customer engagement skills with ability to drive consumption and secure first-time commits
•Ability to articulate product value and business impact to customers and partners, and guide opportunities to close
•Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., GDRs, Customer Success) in a sales context
•Comfort with maintaining and updating a Salesforce pipeline and creating proofs of concepts (POCs) as part of the sales cycle
