Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a Principal Detailer for high-voltage HVAC lattice transmission towers, supporting design and modification projects.
  • •Develop and oversee detailed lattice tower models and complete drafting deliverables including fabrication, assembly, and erection drawings, member/connection details, bolt schedules, and BOMs.
  • •Prepare and validate 2D/3D CADD models, fabrication packages, construction drawings, and as-built documentation.
  • •Review engineering calculations and drawings/specifications to ensure accurate detailing and identify design discrepancies.
  • •Perform QA/QC reviews and ensure detailing complies with applicable ASCE, AISC, NESC, and utility/client standards; mentor junior detailers and designers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • •10+ years of relevant post-education experience in transmission lattice tower detailing.
  • •Experience detailing steel transmission lattice towers at 345 kV HVAC voltage level.
  • •Expert working experience with U.S. codes including ASCE 10, ASCE Manual 74, and NESC.
  • •Advanced ability to independently detail complete lattice towers in 3D software such as Bocad or Tekla, including members, connections, bolts, fabrication/erection drawings, and BOMs.
