Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management for oculoplastic, lacrimal, and orbital conditions.
  • •Perform medical and surgical management of eyelid conditions and related periocular disorders.
  • •Diagnose and manage lacrimal disorders and perform related procedures as appropriate.
  • •Assess and manage orbital disease within scope of expertise, including urgent presentations.
  • •Supervise and teach junior doctors and allied professionals, and participate in clinical audit, governance, and continuous professional development.

Key Requirements

  • •Medical degree from a recognised institution.
  • •Completion of accredited specialist training in Ophthalmology.
  • •Fellowship/CCT/CCST/American Board/FRCOphth (or equivalent) specialist qualification in Ophthalmology.
  • •Fellowship training (or equivalent advanced subspecialty training) in Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery.
  • •Eligibility for DOH / HAAD consultant licensure in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with significant post-certification specialist/consultant experience.
