Job Summary

Build and optimize TikTok Search’s search-domain LLM foundation and contribute to agentic search that moves beyond retrieval-and-ranking. Work on the Agent execution framework (Harness), multi-agent collaboration, long-context and inference optimizations, and closed-loop training–inference–evaluation systems. Develop long-term memory and self-improvement/RSI research, plus reward/verifier and automated evaluation for complex long-horizon tasks, including multimodal AIGC and visual search.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and optimize the search-domain LLM foundation by integrating search knowledge and refining post-training pipelines (e.g., long-text pre-training and multimodal representations).
•Contribute to agent engineering, including the Agent execution framework (Harness) for tool calling, planning, memory, and environment interaction, plus multi-agent scheduling and collaboration.
•Work on long-term memory mechanisms and closed-loop self-improvement/RSI research, including automated hyperparameter tuning and training pipeline automation.
•Help develop reward/verifier systems and automated evaluation frameworks for complex long-cycle tasks and cross-domain capabilities, including multi-agent evaluation standards.
•Support business implementation areas such as long-horizon task agents, multimodal AIGC creation, and visual search/on-device intelligence (e.g., object detection and OCR).

Key Requirements

•Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related major.
•Strong foundation in machine learning/deep learning and familiarity with cutting-edge LLM and agent technologies.
•Experience with LLM/agent projects such as pre-training, fine-tuning/alignment, tool calling, planning, memory, multi-agent collaboration, RAG, RLHF/RLAIF, data synthesis, and automated evaluation.
•Familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow for training and deployment, including distributed training, mixed-precision training, and model compression/inference acceleration (e.g., quantization, pruning, distillation, TensorRT).
•Familiarity with big data frameworks and applications such as MapReduce and Spark (plus).
