Job Summary

Lead production operations on the 2nd shift by overseeing the full manufacturing process—from tracking yields and making real-time adjustments to ensuring safety and USDA/HACCP compliance. Direct and coach hourly production employees to meet targets and quality standards, drive training on safe operating procedures (including lock-out/tag-out), and optimize efficiency by analyzing production metrics to reduce downtime and costs.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform daily production floor inspections, correct unsafe conditions, and lead safety audits; champion ergonomics and ensure adherence to HACCP and USDA regulations.
•Maintain product quality by enforcing Food Safety and Food Quality plans and training employees on safe operating procedures, including lock-out/tag-out.
•Track and analyze production yields, efficiencies, and variances; partner with Operations Managers and Supervisors to improve workflows and equipment use to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
•Direct hourly production employees to align on safety, quality, and production goals; lead monthly line meetings and walk the production floor daily.
•Analyze product performance metrics and recommend continuous improvements to enhance efficiency, minimize costs, and maintain quality standards.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (Business or related) from an accredited four-year college/university plus 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
•Experience acting as a lead by training, coaching, mentoring others or managing a process or project.
•Strong oral and written communication skills, including leading problem-solving for complex process issues with analytical and math abilities.
•Ability to motivate, train, and coach employees to achieve peak performance while fostering a positive, respectful, team-oriented work environment.
•Adaptable to a fast-paced environment and able to work varying conditions (heat and cold), including long hours and weekends when needed.
