Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct safety and contractor performance audits (QA/QC) and perform scoping including work layouts.
  • •Plan, coordinate, and schedule vegetation clearance activities, including contracting vegetation crews and tracking progress across multiple projects.
  • •Ensure contract crew performance meets PGE standards and monitor productivity to achieve vegetation clearance outcomes.
  • •Advise region engineering and serve as a subject matter expert for capital job vegetation clearance needs and complex issues.
  • •Coordinate emergency vegetation clearance, collaborate with line operations, and coordinate selective herbicide applications with city, county, and state agencies, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in earth science, horticulture, geology, forestry, natural resources, or equivalent experience.
  • •Typically 5+ years in utility tree trimming, private tree trimming, arborist work, nursery work, or related experience, including vendor management and project management.
  • •Valid driver’s license and ISA Arborist Certification required.
  • •ISA Utility Specialist credential and Oregon State Pesticide Consultant license preferred; required within six months of obtaining the position.
  • •ISA TRAQ preferred.
