Key Responsibilities

  • •Use packaging SOP to pull the correct materials for the assigned packaging schedule.
  • •Use SAP to transfer materials and WIP to/from storage and assigned locations, including making transaction corrections when needed.
  • •Monitor material activities of production employees involved in packaging of Ready to Eat products and ensure quality/specification compliance.
  • •Perform production area start-up and consistently maintain standard production performance within assigned area(s).
  • •Support safety by serving as safety captain/first point of contact for production and equipment-related issues and train new material handlers.

Key Requirements

  • •Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends on the assigned shift.
  • •Must be able to push/pull/lift repeatedly up to 40–60 pounds and tolerate temperatures of 35°F or below for the entire shift.
  • •Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.
  • •Comply with safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements, including performing position rotation (if applicable).
  • •1 to 2 years experience working in a meat processing facility; basic computer knowledge required.
