Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in New Product Development and Engineering Change Management for Aircraft Evacuation Systems and components.
  • •Review product specifications and translate them into design requirements and scope of work.
  • •Create and maintain technical drawings and design documentation, including system/component test plans, test reports, and engineering change orders.
  • •Support BLR Evacuation Systems operations with technical guidance and collaborate with cross-functional teams in India and the USA.
  • •Design tools/fixtures and perform analysis such as GD&T and tolerance stack-up; work with CAD/PLM and drafting/fabrication activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s/master’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical design.
  • •3 to 5 years of industry experience in New Product Development, engineering change management, redesign, CAD activities, and manufacturing/obsolescence activities.
  • •Ability to read, understand, and create technical drawings per standard; review product specifications and determine design requirements and scope of work.
  • •Experience with GD&T (ASME 14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • •Proficiency with CAD tools (Creo 2.0 or above desired; AutoCAD, KeyCreator, Catia/Unigraphics desired) and PLM tools (Teamcenter, SAP).
