  • •Use screen readers daily to test, debug, and validate accessibility behavior in the product.
  • •Collaborate with engineers across the Editing Group by reviewing designs and pull requests and providing technical guidance to ship accessible features early.
  • •Identify systemic accessibility gaps in the Editor and implement architectural fixes that address underlying causes.
  • •Support other teams by reviewing accessible implementations and helping define what accessible implementation looks like in practice.

Key Requirements

  • •Commercial experience building accessible web applications, with practical WCAG knowledge and judgment from shipped work.
  • •Hands-on experience developing and debugging with screen readers, including understanding VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS differences.
  • •Strong ability working in a large, interconnected frontend codebase, treating accessibility as a system-level design concern.
  • •Proficiency in TypeScript and React, with the ability to reason about component structure and accessibility together.
  • •Clear cross-disciplinary communication to explain assistive technology behavior and component constraints to engineers and designers.
